Six hours of one-on-one instruction in a dual-brake training vehicle with a DPS-certified instructor. Residential streets, highway driving, parking and manoeuvres, with pickup and drop-off included.
Not shared with another student, not spent watching someone else drive. Every minute is your time at the wheel.
Behind-the-wheel is $300 on its own. Add it to any drivers ed package and it drops to $250 — the same six hours, fifty dollars less.
Or add it to a course for $250
Secure paymentThree sessions of two hours, each building on the last. Your instructor adapts the pace to you, this is the shape, not a script.
Starting with the car stationary: seat, mirrors, pedals and what every control does. Then residential streets at low speed, steering, smooth braking, stopping at junctions, and getting used to the size of the car around you.
Busier roads, multi-lane traffic, four-way stops and right-of-way decisions made at real speed. Parking in all its forms, parallel, bay and hill, plus three-point turns and reversing with proper observation.
Merging, lane changes, maintaining speed and safe following distance on the interstate. The session finishes with a drive where you make the decisions and your instructor simply observes, the closest thing to driving alone.
In-car lessons are taught in person, so they are limited to the towns our instructors travel to. The online course and test prep have no such limit.
Not on the list? You can still take the online course and complete your in-car hours with any DPS-certified instructor, then upload the certificate to your dashboard. Pick your city during booking and we will tell you straight away which applies.
Four steps. The only thing we need from you is three times that suit your week.
Select where you are. You will be told immediately whether we teach in-car there, before you pay anything.
Give us your three preferred slots for the three sessions. Evenings and weekends are fine.
The office matches you to a DPS-certified instructor covering your area and confirms the times with you.
Your instructor collects you from home for each session and drops you back afterwards. Nothing to arrange.
You can learn every rule in the manual and still not know what a wet road feels like under braking. That gap closes in the car.
New drivers crash most in their first twelve months on the road. Supervised hours with someone who can take the brake are the single most effective thing you can do about that.
Most students are tense for the first twenty minutes. Our instructors have taught hundreds of people through exactly that, and nobody will make you feel foolish for it.
Parents teach what they do, habits included. An instructor teaches what the test and the law expect, and does it without the arguments.
Most states ask for a set number of supervised in-car hours before a licence. Six hours with a certified instructor is the common requirement.
"I was terrified of the interstate. By the third session I merged onto it without my instructor saying a word, which is exactly how I knew I could do it."
"Dad tried teaching me and we just argued. One hour with a proper instructor and parallel parking finally made sense. Worth every dollar."
"Being picked up from the house made it possible at all, I had no way of getting to a lesson otherwise. They were on time every single session."
"Three sessions and my daughter went from refusing to leave the driveway to driving us home from her grandmother’s. Patient does not begin to cover it."
Pick your city, choose three times that suit you, and your instructor comes to your door.
